Location: Newport Center and other country settings in Vermont, Vermont

I am now renting a mobile home in Newport Center, VT. on an organic dairy farm. I would like to stay here but the rent and utilities are more than my income can sustain.

The ideal would be if my current landlord would apply for section 8. (I think that she would do this if I knew how to approach her) Advice welcome.

But if this is not possible I am open to a different area if a section 8 rental comes up in a similar location.
