I am divorced, disabled, supporting myself and my 21-year-old son while he finishes high school and earns his diploma.
3 years ago my fiance died and I lost my home after 36 years. Now my son and I live in a mobile home. I get $733 from SSI Disability and pay rent, internet/cable, put gas in the car, buy cat food and cat litter and I'm broke the rest of the mo.
My 79-year-old mother has loaned me money every month to pay our power bill and car insurance. I've had to borrow money to pay the annual smog test and vehicle registration and this year I had to borrow more to pay my licence renewal fee.
